#suzukimotorcycles #restoration #vintage This is an engine from a Suzuki GT380 from the late 70's. It came to me for repair after its second hydro lock. The centre conrod and piston was destroyed. The failure was due to a leaking two stroke oil check valve, filling the crankcase and causing instant failure at start up. All new genuine pistons, rings etc were replaced. I rebuilt the crankshaft also with all new bearings, I swapped the two stroke oil system with a very good used unit and fitted brand new OEM scavenger valves to the crankcase base to ensure it worked properly moving forward.
