How to boost your FPS and avoid Screen Tearing and Micro Stuttering: 1. Do this each time you open MSFS: Reboot your PC Set MSFS to 'High' priority in Windows Task Manager Keep CPU intensive apps closed while playing MSFS. 2. Set your MSFS graphics settings as below: Enable DLSS in MSFS settings. To prevent ghosting caused by DLSS, increase your Secondary Scaling as described here: • DLSS Ghosting GONE: the SECRET to Sec... Set terrain LOD never above 200. Disable photogrammetry where if you don't need it. Avoid moving aircraft traffic. Moving aircraft traffic can significantly drop FPS, even with frame generation. Ship traffic and airport vehicles also reduce FPS. 3. Set your Nvidia Control Panel options as below: Power Management Mode: Set to Prefer Maximum Performance. Low Latency Mode: Turn it on for reduced input lag. Max Frame Rate: Try if limiting your FPS to match your monitor's refresh rate improves your performance. Shader Cache Size: Unlimited Threaded optimisation: On Adjust video colour settings: Select: Go to 'Advanced' - select Full (0-255) Turn on G-Sync (if your monitor supports it) Turn down resolution. E.g. on a 4K monitor you can change the resolution to any individual resolution, e.g., 3840x1440 or 3840x1800, which is lower than 4K, but still the same horizontal pixel number. This frees up system resources. 4. Additional Hardware Settings Turn on 'HAGS' (Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling) in your Windows settings Turn on Adaptive Sync in your monitor menu (if your monitor is equipped with it). Ensure you are using Display Port cables from your monitor to your PC. Plug your Display Port cable directly into your Graphics Card. Ensure you have 64GB RAM. 5. Community Folder Disable all scenery add-ons in MSFS that you don't need for your flight. 6. Do this regularly Regularly delete your Rolling Cache in MSFS. Regularly delete your Nvidia Cache as instructed here: • Big Improvement Fix | How to Stop Mic... 7. Third-Party Programs Learn and use Process Lasso to free up CPU resources, as described here: • Process Lasso for MSFS: Increase Perf... Anti-Virus: Exclude MSFS directories from real-time scanning.
