In this vlog, I was invited to join a Little Havana Food Tour and I get to enjoy the rich Cuban history and culture told by a tour guide while also tasting the best Cuban food Miami has to offer. In the beginning of the video, I point out where the most important mural of Little Havana is and I encourage everyone to take a photo by it. We start our Little Havana Food Tour at Augustine Gainza Arts and Tavern where the official food tour starts. From there we get a quick introduction and overview by Hoji Silva about what we should expect during our culinary tour along Calle Ocho. The tour begins walking East along 8th Street as our tour guide points our the colorful roosters that are scattered throughout Little Havana. A brief historical narration helps explain these artistic icons of the area. Next we head to El Pub Restaurant where we get to taste a delicious Beef Empanada and a Cuban Colada. These two delicious items kick off the tour as we get to taste savory Cuban items. A brief walk brings us to the famous Dominos Park in Little Havana. We learn that like a library, you may check out the dominos with a driver license and spending the day playing with local Cubans. From there we head to Old's Havana for a Cuban Sandwhich, then we enjoy a guava pastelito, then a Cuban mojito at Ball & Chain. Finally, we finish off the food tour at Azucar for a delicious scoop of ice cream. The Little Havana Food Tour helps familiarize yourself with many different restaurants in the area.
