How To Grow, Plant, Care & Propagate Philodendron Red Congo 2022 in the Philippines. Types, , Variety. How To Grow, Plant, Care & Propagate Philodendron Red Congo 2022. Types, Kinds, Variety. How to propagate a Red Congo Propagating the Red Congo requires some patience, but like most propagations, is fairly simple and straightforward! Follow these instructions to propagate your Red Congo: Select a stem to propagate - Using sharp, clean scissors or shears, cut a stem from the very base of the central stalk. Place in water - Find a clear glass and fill it with water. Make sure only the stem is submerged, and no leaves are sitting in the water. You may also choose to first dip the cutting in rooting hormone, as this will increase the chances and speed of the cutting forming its own roots. Place in a bright area and wait! - Avoid direct sun, and be patient! New roots may take a few weeks to begin forming. Transfer to soil - After the roots are at least two inches long, transfer to indoor potting soil. A small pot is best — no larger than 6” in diameter. Keep hydrated - During the first few weeks, or until your plant feels firmly rooted in its soil, regularly water and drain your Red Congo. The soil should be just barely moist to the touch at all times. Light Requirements The Philodendron is native to tropical rainforests and likes bright, indirect light and warmth. Watering Needs Although pretty hardy houseplants, the soil of philodendrons should be kept consistently moist but not wet. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering, but no more than that. Soil Requirements The best soil for philodendron is a regular, commercial potting soil. The plant benefits from good drainage. An addition of perlite to the potting mix is also beneficial. Fertilizing To encourage larger leaves and overall health, fertilize the plant in the growing season with slow-release fertilizer pellets or with an all-purpose liquid fertilizer. Although this is not necessary for philodendron care, it will make for an attractive plant. #howtopropagatephilodendronredcongo2022inthephilippines, #howtoplantphilodendronredcongo2022inthephilippines, #howtogrowcarephilodendronredcongo2022inthephilippines, #howtopropagatephilodendronredcongin2022inthephilippines, #howtogrowplantcarepropagatephilodendronredcongo2022inthephilippines #typesofphilodendronplantsinthephilippines #philodendronvarietiesphilippines #varietiesofphilodendronwithnames #nnbovlogs #kindsofphilodendronplants #howtoplantcaregrowphilodendronflowers #howtogrowredcongoplan2022philippines #howtocareredcongoplant2022philippines #howtopropagateredcongophilodendronplant2022inphilippines
