BJP MLA C.N. Ashwath Narayan has made serious allegations against the government, saying that many departments, especially the Excise Department, are involved in corruption. He called the government an “ATM sarkar” and claimed that regular collections are taken from wine vendors and officials for licenses, postings, and other work. Narayan alleged that one minister collects around ₹6000 crore every year from the Excise Department.
