Omkar Dadarkar's Khayal style is gaining increasing appreciation around the world. He first learned from his parents, then from various gurus, including his aunt Manik Verma, Ram Deshpande, Yashwantbua Joshi, Ulhas Kashalkar, Girija Devi and Srinivas Khale. A significant period of study as a scholar at the ITC Music Research Academy sharpened his control and his performance continues to go from strength to strength with a growing resume of accolades. He mixes analysis with soulfulness, bringing the traditional Gwalior genre of Khayal to new global audiences every year. --------------------------------------- Paramparik, for more than 20 years, has remained a unique organization with a unique vision, in the city of joy, a well known name in the Indian Classical music circles - for no-frills music that has mijaz, raagdari, and melody.
