Welcome to Making Monday with Herbal Roots zine where kids learn about herbs! I'm Kristine Brown today I'm going to demonstrate how to make a resin based salve. Pine resin salve is a great salve to have on hand for wounds, cuts, scrapes, splinters, sprains, strains, and so much more. To make Pine resin salve, you will need to first infuse an oil. You can use just about any oil. Olive oil is a popular choice. Today I’ll be using some tallow, which is an animal based fat.
