I consider myself a novice when it comes to #passivehydroponics, but I find that my alocasia’s love being in leca and grow the coolest water roots with big, healthy leaves in it. This is how I do it: first thing I do is wash my leca. The leca I used in this video is new, so I just ran it under hot water until the water ran clear. I remove all of the soil from the roots (first with my hands and then under running water), I fill a nursery pot 1/3 of the way with leca, I place the plant inside and then fill the rest of the pot with the substrate. I put the nursery pot inside of the ceramic outer pot and fill up with nutrient/water mix (I use noot) 1/3 up the pot. There are currently two yellowing leaves that I expect to die off, but I fully expect the plant to recover and grow beautifully! I will make sure to post updates on my story on how it does💜 Also, you can find the link to where I buy my hydroponic supplies on my amazon shop at the link in my bio on my Instagram @myplantlover!
