At 19, she was living independently and enjoying life when she decided to go horseback riding alone after her friend canceled their plans. Overestimating her skills, she chose a challenging horse and joined two riders for a race back to the barn. During the race, her horse hit a golfer hole, stumbled, and threw her violently to the ground. Lura recalls an out-of-body experience as she fell. She vividly remembers being disconnected from her physical body and observing the scene from above, feeling no pain but a profound sense of peace. She describes entering a realm filled with light and warmth, which she associates with unconditional love. In this state, she felt a deep connection to something greater, as though all the questions she had about life and existence were suddenly answered.
