Intro: Bright orange, crispy outside and juicy inside — Jaangri, also known as Imarti, is a festive sweet loved for its floral swirls and syrupy sweetness. Made with urad dal batter and soaked in fragrant sugar syrup, it’s a must-have at any celebration! ⸻ 🧡 Ingredients: For the batter: • 1 cup whole urad dal (soaked 2–3 hrs) • 2 tbsp rice flour • A pinch of orange food color • 1/4 cup water (as needed for grinding) For sugar syrup: • 1 cup sugar • 1/2 cup water • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder • A few drops of rose essence or saffron strands • 1/2 tsp lemon juice For frying: • Ghee or oil (for deep frying) ⸻ 🍯 Instructions: 1. Soak & Grind: Soak urad dal for 2–3 hours. Drain and grind to a smooth, fluffy batter with minimal water. Add rice flour and color; mix well. 2. Prepare Syrup: In a pan, heat sugar and water until sticky (1-string consistency). Add cardamom powder, lemon juice, and rose essence. Keep warm. 3. Shape & Fry: Fill the batter into a piping bag or squeeze bottle. Pipe the Jaangri pattern (circles with small petals) in medium-hot oil/ghee. Fry until crisp and golden. 4. Soak & Serve: Dip hot Jaangris in warm syrup for a few seconds, flip once, then remove and arrange on a plate. 5.
