A very strange wet race! / Rotax Senior

Final race of the season... Race 1: The pace in the first race was ok and a top 3 finish would have been possible, but as I needed to defend P4, I lost a lot of time. Race 2: It started raining around an hour before the start, but as my weather app said that there will be no rain, we decided to wait a bit until we switch to rain set up. The rain didn't stop, and it became very stressful to get everything ready in time, in the end we joined the grid in the last second. Starting the race from P4, I knew that everything is possible, and I was expecting a lot. I was able to hold P4 after the start, but out of turn 3 I noticed that the engine had absolutely no power at all. I got stuck at 10 000 rpm all the time, and it turned out, that this will be the longest 16 laps of my life. I was just hoping that the engine will survive and I even got P3. During the last three laps or so, I noticed a bit of improvement, and I was a bit more relaxed, but as I turned into the chicane at the last lap the engine cut off out of nowhere. I had a heart attack and started to play with the throttle and due to a miracle the engine fired up again, and I was able to bring P3 over the line. #karting #racing #f1
