Remembering G#SHARP I think it was around this time about two years ago when this genius all of a sudden just disappeared. But let me go back a little.. The first memories I can recall was at a time when there was a ton of stuff going on. Just moved to the United States in 2012 living in New York City. I entered the battle of blues competition in NYC in 2012 and some of the rounds were later uploaded to Youtube. That's when I started browsing and I clearly remember when I found one of his videos on youtube. This guy is like a diamond in the rough and left my jaws dropped and be remembered. Said to myself " Goddamn this guy is incredible." After that long years passed by for me until I reconnected and caught up on his work again , but still clearly remembered who I just re-found still made the same exact impression. This is that guy again and he's just outrageous! It was around 2018-2019... by this time I was subscribed to G's channel. But shortly after that , no matter how long the wait was for there were just no more videos because he was gone and he was gone forever. It deeply saddened his tribe, the people who knew him even indirectly through the internet, including me and there was devastation. It may sound strange but I felt like I've lost a brother without ever knowing him, without ever talking to him and I am still deeply saddened by the loss to this day. So much knowledge , shared in such a humble, unique and generous way. Such an amazing inspiration to anyone who wants to grasp on the essence of Rock N Roll and particularly to this genre of guitar playing. Deeply missed and never forgotten. His work has touched many. Keeping his spirit alive, this is my tribute to the one and only G# Sharp Golan Eini covering his entry to my best ability, an incredible performance for the Bluesmasters 2013 Competition. One of my personal favorite G sharp performances. Thank you for all your music, all the knowledge that you shared so humbly. You inspired many and your spirit lives on forever!
