Thinking of setting up a Bio-CNG plant? Here’s what no one tells you upfront.

Ltd., as he breaks down the three most critical requirements every aspiring Bio-CNG entrepreneur must evaluate before even starting the process: ⿡ Feedstock Availability – You must ensure a consistent supply that is at least 2.5 times your daily plant capacity. Whether it’s cow dung, Napier grass, agricultural residue, or municipal solid waste, quantity and consistency are key. ⿢ Land & Infrastructure – For a 5 TPD Bio-CNG plant, you’ll need around 5 acres of land with basic infrastructure like road access, water supply, electricity, and proximity to raw material sources. ⿣ Finance – Although up to 75% of the project can be financed through loans, you still need to arrange the initial margin money (₹3–5 Cr depending on plant size).
