Happy New Year! We are so happy that you have joined us on our adventure in Scotland! Today we are in Inverness. This Highland city is located on the northeast coast of Scotland. It was exciting to drive in and see Loch Ness. This has long been a dream of mine! Inverness was amazing and I would highly recommend a walk over the Greig Street Bridge, or Bouncy Bridge as is it called by the locals. The views are amazing! Also, I truly enjoyed seeing more of the Caledonian Canal. This is a wonder. Another couple of great things to see would be the Cathedral of St. Andrew and Inverness Castle. We didn't have as much time to explore as w would have liked so we may need to return to Inverness! We are staying at Culloden House Hotel and that is what the bulk of this video is about. While researching our trip, I found little about this wonderful place to stay. I hope that this vlog inspires more people to stay here. Our experience was wonderful! The Culloden House sits on 40 acres. There are gardens and forests to explore. There are lawn games and a duck pond to enjoy. And much to our surprise, there is a pigeon coop, a very large one, on the grounds. We kept hearing the cooing and finally asked. The Culloden House is a very historic and beautiful place. Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed here and made Culloden House his headquarters just before the battle of Culloden. Much to my surprise and delight, I learned that a "Cameron" was here and helped Bonnie Prince Charlie with planning the strategies the Highlanders would use. The staff at Culloden House versed us in historic facts while we were there. One of my favorite parts of our stay was exploring the walled garden. It was so pretty and such a relaxing afternoon when we visited! It was unlike anything I have ever done. Our room at Culloden House was spacious! We not only had a large bedroom, but also a large sitting area. The house also has a drawing room, library/bar, two dining areas and numerous alcoves to sit and enjoy a sunny day! The meals we had at the Adam Restaurant were all very good and the drinks we were served in the library/bar were interesting. Be sure to watch next week to see some unusual drinks. Culloden House stands as a symbol of both Scotland's past, and her present. It's name and where it sits remind me of it's turbulent and romantic past. In the present we see the beauty and feel the welcome of Scotland in this superbly historic setting! Thanks for watching! We really appreciate each of you! Please take a minute and subscribe if you haven't and like this video! We REALLY love hearing from you so please leave us a comment. We will get back to you! We are "Living the GOOD Life!"
