Kate Livewire is an indie singer-songwriter from Cebu City, Philippines, known for breaking genre boundaries and crafting songs inspired by the complexities of love and abuse. Starting in 2014, she transitioned from poetry to songwriting, blending truth with fiction to create relatable stories for those who have faced life’s darker moments. Over the years, she has collaborated with Cebuano producer ST3R10 and is currently working on her debut album, set for release in 2025. Beyond her music, Livewire performs around Cebu and aspires to work with more local producers to explore new genres and contribute to the local music scene. One of her favorite venues is The Tea and Gallery, a unique spot in midtown Cebu serving freshly brewed loose leaf tea while showcasing works by local visual artists.
