Winter Camping - In Hammock - Under the Open Sky - Sweden

I was one of the lucky ones to experience a real winter camping in Skåne, in south of Sweden. Cold, down to minus 10 degrees Celsius, a warming sun, snow-covered trees, crispy snow, cool air and starry evenings. And everything took place on the weekend, when I was free from work what are the chances? Together with some hikers, previously unknown to me, we went around the lake Raslången. A lake in Kristianstad and Olofström county on the border between Skåne and Blekinge. A hike where we travelled 30 kilometres in two days. The first night I slept in my DDhammock at minus 10 degrees Celsius (which is a low temperature here in Skåne). The second night I slept under the open sky, a much warmer night when the temperature dropped down to only 5 degrees below zero. There was some snow during the night which made the sleeping bag a little damp, but I didn´t freeze, it was warm and cozy in the sleeping bag. I am so happy to have gained some new experience of hiking during the winter, which is not so easy to experience for real here in Skåne. I have had to test my equipment under a little tougher conditions and learned some new tips and tricks. The gang I had the privilege of hiking with carried on a lot of experience and knowledge that I will benefit from far into the future.
