The CR-5 Pro and Pro H from the factory has significant design issues that prevent consistent quality printing. One of the biggest drawbacks of this printer is the extremely long bowden tube setup with the extruder being quite far away from the hotend. Converting to direct drive significantly cuts down on printing time due to having to perform shorter distance retractions at much higher speed, as well as being able to push more plastic than the stock configuration. The Orbiter 2 being lightweight and full of torque seemed like the obvious choice. So far I've put well over 15kg of Carbon Fiber PETG through this setup and it hasn't let me down yet!
