Go behind-the-scenes with the Winnipeg Jets during the NHL Trade Deadline, in RUNWAY, presented by Bell MTS! In the midst of a four game road trip, the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Operations team set-up in Philadelphia. The day began with the Pittsburgh Penguins trading defenseman Luke Schenn to the Jets in exchange for Winnipeg’s own 2nd-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and Winnipeg’s own 4th-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft. Schenn won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2019-20 and 2020-21. He is the only player on Winnipeg’s active roster with a Stanley Cup championship. Then later in the day, Seattle Kraken traded forward Brandon Tanev to the Jets in exchange for Winnipeg’s own 2nd-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft. Tanev returns to the Jets after the forward had a four-season stretch with the franchise from 2015-16 to 2018-19. Tanev was a part of the franchise’s longest playoff run, one that saw the Jets advance to the Western Conference Final in 2018.
