80th Anniversary Spirit of Progress Seymour Railway Heritage Centre Hello All, Today I have a Seymour Railway Heritage Centre tour video. This time we do a short chase of the 80th Anniversary of the Spirit of Progress train. The train was operated from Seymour Station to Ballarat via Geelong, which was stated to be one of the original test routes when they were testing the Spirit of Progress trains. The Spirit of Progress train is a service which the Victorian Railways operated from Spencer Street Station to Albury Station, the end of the Broad Gauge. This was one of the most luxurious Victorian trains operated by the power houses of the VR the S Class Streamline steam locomotives. Since the Streamlined S Class locomotives were scrapped many years ago, the tour was operated by double streamlines also known as bulldog diesel locomotives, B74 & S303. In this video we see the train in three locations on the service to Ballarat and one location on the return, this was due to the availability of whom I was travelling with.
