開炉に合わせて「壺飾り」の稽古を行いました。 We had a special lesson - "Tsubo-Kazari" at the start of winter season. 年に一度の稽古です。 It's the lesson once a year. 炉の季節へと、スイッチが切り替わったように感じるひと時でした。 It was a moment that we felt like the switch was turned completely from summer to winter on tatami mat. "Tsubo-Kazari" - To display and see the pot which tea leaves were in. Before summer, it is the season that new tea leaves are taken, we gather the new leaves into a pot. And the leaves will be ripe well in it during hot summer. At the start of winter season in tea ceremony, we open the pot and pick up all leaves to make tea powder - Maccha. And to cerebrate the new season, we display the pot and see it together.
