Tutorial on how to remove the motor pole to chassis connection on the original Fleischmann Motor of the 1950’s which is commonly found in all Fleischmann engines from 1951 to 1968 and we convert the 58 Motor as well, so both motor poles are electrically insulated from the engine chassis and can then be used with a DCC Decoder like a ESU Lockpilot 4 or 5 (or any other decoder of your choice) The 58 Motor was developed by Fleischmann in 1958 and was first used in the Starter pack with V 60 Switcher Engine as the original motor didn’t fit into the V 60 The 58 Motor, which is one of the quietest and strongest HO scale Motors laid the foundation of the success of the Fleischmann models from 1968 when all engines where converted to the 58 Motor until today. I recommend the ESU Lokpilot 4 or 5 DCC Decoder as they work the best with these two motors and have several parameters which can be adjusted for best performance
