Located in Wooroonooran National Park, Windin Falls is one of the most scenic waterfalls near cairns. Walking track which is around 10km lightly trafficked loop trail not too difficult but it does include at least one steep descent. It passes through and has views of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area with its rainforest and open woodland habitat in Atherton Tablelands tropical north Queensland. There is a natural infinity pool at the top of the falls, you can swim here but it can quickly get crowded. Be cautious near the edge of the falls and do not go too close for safety reasons.
