Full game playthrough of Borderlands 4, the most recent 2025 releases from Gearbox and 2K Games for the Borderlands franchise. Recorded at 1440p. All main missions from the campaign of the game included alongside a selection of side quests, contracts, and other option content. Looter shooter story game with some RPG elements. Though the performance of the game is very variable, I'd pretty definitively say that this is the best Borderlands game I've played. The combat is fun and fast paced, the player is given a huge range of abilities and movement to basically do anything you wish including fly all over the place while shooting and looting. A note on the performance: Gearbox's clown CEO has decided to join the post-truth era and is attempting to say the performance is fine. It's not. On a decent PC, the FPS is fine at Medium and High settings, but the problem isn't raw FPS. It's the stuttering. BL4 unfortunately suffers from near constant stuttering from traveling around the map to new assets like grenade decals or bullet impacts loading in. Gearbox's CEO is not a game developer, he's an armchair general and does not realize that that frametime and framerate are two different aspects of the visual smoothness. Hopefully the actual devs do know this and will improve the game.
