After my stroke in 2023, I spent a month in a hospital bed wondering if I'd ever walk again. Eventually, I was told I was "good enough" to work—too healthy for disability support—even though my recovery was far from over. Those words haunted me. So I'm reclaiming them. In May 2027, I'm walking the Caminho de Santiago—150 miles from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela. This isn't just about proving something to myself. It's about showing other stroke survivors that recovery doesn't have an endpoint, and that our worth isn't determined by government letters or medical assessments. 🎯 HOW YOU CAN HELP: → GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/stroke-sur... → Watch my "How to Help" video: • How can we help? → Share this video with stroke survivors, healthcare workers, or anyone who needs to hear this message → Learn about Portugal AVC: https://www.portugalavc.pt/ 💰 FUNDRAISING TRANSPARENCY: I'm raising $3,000 to cover flight, accommodations, food, and accessibility needs.
