What's Happening With Alex's Honda Beat? Over the past few months, my little Honda Beat has seen a steady stream of upgrades and attention. ______________ 🌐 Stay Connected: Visit our website: https://www.shopcheckpoint.com/ Join us on Discord: https://bit.ly/joincheckpointdiscord ______________ 🛠️ Sponsors & Affiliate Links: Support the channel by checking out our sponsors and using the discount codes below! 🔧 Lordco Auto Parts https://lordco.com/ ⚡ ARCCAPTAIN Welding Equipment – 5% OFF with code: CHECKPOINT https://www.arccaptain.com/?ref=Check... 🔥 Rudeboy Specials – Parts and more https://www.rudeboyspecials.net/ 🎤 RODE Microphones & Gear https://brandstore.rode.com?sca_ref=7... ⚙️ CUBE Speed – 10% OFF with code: CHECKPOINTJAPAN10 https://www.cubespeed.com/ 🏁 Maxpeedingrods – 10% OFF with code: CHECK https://www.maxpeedingrods.com/ ______________ It started with the long-awaited installation of a front lip and side skirts I had imported from Japan. Our friend Mitsuaki handled the paint and fitting work, and his attention to detail brought the look of the car together. Not long after getting the car back from Mitsuaki, the Beat went under the knife once again. Reid, Sam, and I spent some time dialing in the setup: we modified the coilovers for a lower ride height, bumped up the rear tire size, and raised the engine slightly to improve ground clearance. We also removed the packing inside of the catalytic converter to free up exhaust flow and exposed the independent throttle bodies, letting the engine breathe better and sound a whole lot more exciting in the process. With everything feeling sorted, I brought the car out to Revup YVR at the Richmond Oval a few weeks later to support some friends who were vending at the show. It was great to finally enjoy the Beat in its current form, and it felt good seeing people react to a car that doesn't always get the spotlight. As for what’s next, I’m not entirely sure. The Beat might end up getting sold to fund another project down the line, but for now, I’m just enjoying it for what it is: a fun, silly little machine that keeps surprising me. ______________ (Professional drivers on a closed course, do not attempt.) 0:00-1:41 Intro 1:42-9:03 Beat Progress 9:04-11:49 Shakedown & Photos 11:50-14:27 Revup YVR 14:28-17:11 Summer Cruise
