RUST BUSTER is a liquid concentrate to dissolve rust, concrete, lime & calcium deposit, water scale & crust while forming an iron phosphate film as rust protection for painting or before painting preparation. Contains Corrosion Inhibitor to prevent corrosive effect on surface. READY-TO-USE or can be diluted with water USE: Dip, spray, brush DOES NOT CONTAIN HCL No harsh odor SAFE on metal, chrome, fiberglass, glass, ceramic, porcelain DIRECTIONS FOR USE ON RUSTED METAL 1. Clean the surface from dust & dirt with a soft wire brush. 2. RUST BUSTER can be used by dipping or spraying, helped with brushing. 3. Let the liquid stand for 10-15 minutes. Repeat the process if necessary. 4. Make sure the surface and the working equipment is rinsed with clean water until neutral (metal surface is not slippery). Note: It is recommended to treat the surface immediately (with paint, anti-rust lubricant, zinc or chrome coating as needed). DIRECTIONS FOR USE ON CONCRETE 1. Apply directly on the surface to be cleaned by dipping or spraying, assisted with brushing. Concrete surfaces must be thoroughly wetted by RUST BUSTER. 2. Let the liquid stand until the concrete matrix becomes soft to touch. Minimum time required is 20 minutes, but treated surfaces can be left overnight. RUST BUSTER will keep on attacking concrete matrix even after foaming action has decreased. 3. After concrete is softened, apply an additional application and allow this to remain for approximately 10 minutes. 4. Clean the surface with a scraper. If concrete is still there, repeat the above process. Last application can be cleaned with a “power washer”. Concrete buildup of 1/4” (6 mm) or more will require multiple applications. 5. If treated concrete will be left overnight, apply an additional application the next morning to soften the concrete. Let it stand for 10-15 minutes. Then clean softened concrete by the above method.
