Apple Pie Recipe: Mix: 2 Tablespoons butter 3/4 cup sugar 1/3 cup flour Sprinkle half of the mixture on the bottom of an unbaked pie shell. Peel and cut apples in half, place core side down in pie shell. Top with the remaining crumb mixture and top with 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce to 370 and bake for another 35 minutes. My Ice Cream Base: 1 quart heavy cream 3/4 cup maple syrup (or sugar) 10 egg yolks dash of salt 1/2 tsp vanilla Heat the cream and maple syrup until hot (do not boil). Slowly temper in the eggs and take off heat. Stir in salt and vanilla. Cool completely, then churn in your ice cream freezer. Some links are affiliate links.
