#roadrunnerrx7 #roadrunner #electricscooter yes I did not reach out during the early stages of black dots on purpose: 1. to fully see what kind of damages it can undergo, because the whole point of my video is a product review, purchased using my own money, so I get to decide what to cover. I was curious what was going to happen, and I'm pretty sure others were interested in the matter as well - the views and likes speak for themselves. 2. to be 100% honest with my reviews, simply replacing the black dots right away is technically in favor of RR, because it will hide all the imperfections and make the RX7 look good all the time. however, what happened is what happened. I just can't swap out parts and say "this scooter has no problems. its good go buy it." the fact is they failed the cosmetics and QC for the initial launch even after months of delay. I paid the price, and what I got was under my expectations. So, my videos show that. Customer service can change my view on the BRAND, but that doesn't automatically change the damaged product. I have to manually go through the process to figure it out. why all of that at first place? I got the RX7 and these problems happened. Which means, other customers could also face such problems, though obviously it will not be the case all the time. some will, and some won't. If it's something that involves chances of making warranty claims, then all the customers and the people trying to buy the scooter have rights to know about this. 3. to tell people why and how this is happening, as some people who do not understand these problems (and especially the ones who did not fully watch my videos) are leaning towards that all the damages were caused by not taking good care of the scooter. some claim that "being careful" could prevent such issues. not sure how that works when you go 60+mph and stones hit the surface, you can't tell the objects to be gentle, you can't tell the rain to come down slowly and don't enter inside. all of them are false, because: a. the stem has a play, there is another user on reddit that posted the play on stem, and it was there from the first day of getting the scooter. even ESG in their review tells the viewers to "shake the stem" as you tighten it up. why would they say this? because they also know that the stem has play and the locking/folding mechanism is sketchy. b. the other parts (especially the black painting) have no scratches. stones will hit random places, not selectively hitting the light panels. and I proved in the third video that it is NOT the stones causing damages to the panels at the first place. c. explained in this video, that's not how IP rating works. and even the initial display is not IP66. (they claimed when the scooter was released as IP66, with all the components including the initial display. yet, it had water leaked in) the display is not the final product, and the owner claimed that they will ship out the new display in about 6 weeks. that video was uploaded around the end of May. let's count 6 weeks. July? its August now, still no display. 4. to show that I actually care about scooters and take them seriously. I'm not a fanboy of any brand. I can say good things, and bad things about it. people already know what's good about the RX7. I have also said multiple times that the scooter is great. What's the point of making a video talking about the same thing? People already know what the RX7 looks like, its features, performance, and so on. People doesn't know what kind of problems it may have, so telling them about it is my content. If you want to know what the RX7 is about, go watch ESG. Unsure if you really want to spend $4K and want to know if there are any potential/ongoing problems, watch my video. Simple. to be fair, RR is pushing RX7 out. they want everything to be looking good and perfect. the reality is not, and they have to face and deal with it. RX7 has to do with the number "7" marketing. 70mi range, 70mph speed, IP6"7" and so on. there is no unit that hit 70mph (realistic top speed on flat road seems to be 65mph, mine hits 64, I've seen others claiming 65.) range is much shorter (sure, single motor gear 1, but did they REALLY range tested? or just marketing rough numbers? they could have said 50 or 60, or any number, but why 70 when we all know that real world ranges will be shorter than manufacturer claimed range?), and IP rating is just a marketing gimmick at this point. Most importantly, I can't fake other people saying about the RX7. See what other owners are talking about.
