Oh, this one hurts to watch.Several loops of rope were deeply embedded in this seal’s neck. The strands had turned red with blood, a clear sign of just how long this animal had been suffering. Surprisingly, he was still in good shape overall. His strength gives him a good chance to recover soon.We hope he felt immediate relief as the OCN rescue team removed the rope. We don’t know how many ropes, nets, lines, straps, garments, and other waste items are drifting in our oceans, but each one is just waiting to trap an animal like this. There’s no realistic way to clean it all up. The least we can do is stop making it worse. That starts today. 🦭 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please visit our website to find out more about our work and how to support us: ➡ Website: https://www.ocnamibia.org/ ➡ Donate via Paypal: https://ow.ly/BTm550PIavq ➡ Donate via Stripe: https://ow.ly/Xy1F50PIMzQ ➡ Support via Patreon: / ocn ➡ FAQs: https://www.ocnamibia.org/faqs Follow us on social media: ➡ Instagram: / oceanconservationnamibia ➡ Facebook: / ocnamibia ➡ TikTok: / oc_namibia ➡ LinkedIn: / ocnamibia ➡ Twitter: / ocnamibia 😊 Thank you for every like, share, comment and subscribe 😊 Ocean Conservation International is registered as a non-profit organisation under chapter 501(c)3.
