So here is one of the most popular machines people are buying here in the UK at the moment. I bought it for £300 (excluding delivery) and it was a smart tech but then changed it back to this but overall I've had it for a few months. My experience is it's really not a bad machine like some people say they are, reliability wise it's not as good as it used to be of course but Hotpoint has always been like that since WMA (bearings failing after a couple years), and I guess it involves the quick washes people are doing with crappy detergent. Performance wise it's great it genuinely just gets on with it no faffing around as shown. Yeahh it's not as flexible as the previous generations like Smart but it's good enough and I can see why it's so popular at the moment. A selection of special programs, quick programs, steam, load sensor, inverter motor all that for just around £270-£300 is quite a bargain. There is obviously the flaws of it, the suspension is starting to click already but I feel like it's from the springs not the cabinet, I did modify the suspension so it acts better with my loads and wouldn't bash the front, as I said before it's not as flexible as previous generations, for example smart had loads of different programs and you could customise the time and blah blah blah here on this machine it's not like that unfortunately, you just have the rapid option which is more like "Fast Wash mode" since there's no fast wash 60 anymore. However they've improved some stuff since previous generations like Synthetics is now 1200rpm, Delicates spins this time, they use a new tub, door seal and drum design (bearings probably not as reliable though but the build quality of all them is improved), balance sensor isn't as sensitive anymore but they might have gone backwards with that with the newest models, my one seems to be a crossover model? Since it doesn't do the fast slowdown like 11kg version, instead it acts the exact same as the old model (945) but eco 40-60 is just 5 minutes longer? Is that really how the energy rating went from a B to an A? 🤣 Other than that it's decent and one of the more better new machines on the market rigt now and I would recommend to anyone if they just want a basic machine that gets on with it for cheap price, wouldn't expect it to last maybe more than 6 years if used perfectly. Don't know how long this will last with me either, it's on basically everyday on the longer cycles, max spin, sometimes overloaded. Only time will tell!
