Fundraising Campaign - An Update!

Here is the information regarding the fundraiser from the very latest newsletter I have been sending out... ______ Update on the fundraiser! Getting there! As I write, 120 people have donated so far (out of a 3000+ mailing list) and I always said that if 200 people donate then the bumps will be more or less smoothed out. Please read the following. Thanks! Hello, A huge THANK YOU to those who have donated to the fundraiser for Fourth Dimension Records so far. If you read the initial email concerning this (which I started sending late last week) then you'll understand that the label and its affiliates hit a crisis due to, quite simply, huge bills for releases I could not afford to pay. This in turn meant plans for other releases (some themselves of which are already overdue) were put on hold. Between this situation and another presented by the main distributor (which the label is in debt with and too long and dull a story to go into here), I had little choice but to set up a fundraiser and turn to the help of those who enjoy what I try to do with the labels (even if they might not enjoy every release!). As said, I began pushing this more late last week (as I was slightly embarrassed before, plus thought I could find another solution to the predicament) and the response has been absolutely amazing. Since this pushing of the campaign I'm now way over halfway to the target figure noted in it. Many people are writing messages of support and encouragement as well. To be honest, this has exceeded all expectations. As noted last time, everybody donating will be given a credit on the upcoming (and long overdue) V/A When Worlds Collide 2LP (Final, Kleistwahr, Bass Communion, Splintered, Sion Orgon, etc.). I'll also credit those who have pre-ordered this. I will be seeing this comp. 2LP through once nearer my target with the fundraiser. In the meantime, the Alternative TV Direct Action special edition CD is in production and I hope will be ready to ship nearer the end of March. Lots of other releases and books planned or in the works, but all rests on my getting over the present hurdles. If the support and generosity continues as it is I think everything will be firmly on track soon. It is difficult running such a label and vinyl in particular is incredibly expensive to manufacture these days. I don't know how some small labels manage to keep doing it. Anyway, thanks again to those who have donated so far. Truly appreciated and I'm honestly touched by the amount of kind words I've received. There are 20 days left of the campaign.
