Long range distance sensors use time-of-flight measurement technology for linear positioning and can be used to measure a distance or to indicate a switching threshhold. Due to their large measuring range, the sensors are suitable for a variety of industries and applications. ISD400: The ISD infrared data transmission system enables wireless communication. Typical uses are on stacker cranes in storage and conveyer systems for wireless communication from the vehicle to the control unit. The system consists of an optically aligned pair of sender and receiver which can communicate bidirectional over long distances.
