In the 2nd Vermont Brew Talk and Tasting virtual event, we taste and learn with Idletyme Brewing brought to you by the University of Vermont's Business of Craft Beer Certificate Program. Program Director, Gregory Dunkling, was joined by Will Gilson, Idletyme Brewing's Brewmaster, who will walked us through the tasting profile and backstory behind four of their most recent beers. Beers tasted and discussed: Helles Brook Lager: Munich-style Lager ~ 4.8% abv. ~ Golden hue, clean and crisp with a gentle yeast nose, light bitterness on the finish. Idletyme: Double IPA -~8.0% abv. ~ American-style Double IPA, a crisp ale with big, fruity hop aromas, solid viscosity in the mouth, a solid bitterness finish. Pink N Pale: Grapefruit Infused Pale Ale ~ 5.5% abv. ~ A classic take on traditional European brewing technique with a healthy dose of Vermont hop culture thrown in for good measure. Zogs Pale Ale: American Pale Ale ~ 5.5% abv. ~ This classic style is dry-hopped with pungent US varieties, wonderful aromas in the nose, medium bitterness.
