This is a simple description of Goiter. A swelling that moves with deglutition, it is called Goiter. It can be divided based on nodularity and functioning. If there are no signs of toxicity, it called SIMPLE. If signs of toxicity are present, it is called TOXIC. If there is no nodularity on surface, it is called DIFFUSE. If there is single nodule over the surface, it is called SOLITARY NODULE. If there are multiple nodules, it is called as MULTINODULAR GOITER. So, there are 6 possible diagnosis with Goiter: 1. Simple diffuse goiter 2. Toxic diffuse goiter 3. Simple multinodular goiter 4. Toxic multinodular goiter 5. Simple solitary nodule 6.
