Asics Metaspeed Sky+ vs Asics Metaspeed Edge+ Workout Test

Asics finally embraced the super-shoe trend last year when it launched not one, but two carbon plate racers at the same time. The Metaspeed Sky and Edge both had big stacks of bouncy foam and a carbon plate, but differed in their design to suit different running styles. Both shoes have now been updated with the Asics Metaspeed Sky+ and Edge+, but the principles behind each shoe remains the same. The Sky+ is built for bouncy 'stride' runners, and the Edge+ for shuffle-y ‘cadence’ runners. Run Testers Nick and Mike both have the two shoes in for testing and we’ll have our multi-tester reviews and a full comparison video coming in due course, but for now here’s Nick’s early take on the Edge+ and Sky+ after a workout using both shoes.
