I continue my conversation with ‪@RenegadeScienceTeacher‬ where we discuss the dangers and fallacies of homophobia, misogyny, and the origins of the culturally constructed aspirational ideals of our time and society! This is a project that I've been working on with an amazing couple for about a year. It's an in-depth conversation about my journey and experience coming out as a gay man in a very conservative evangelical culture. My intention in sharing this story is to bring some light and hope to those in the LGBTQ+ community who may find themselves in a similar situation or worse than my own; to let them know that there is hope on the other side of the darkness, and that there are indeed loving people who will meet you on the road to support you on your journey.
