In the final episode of Breaking Bad, "Felina," Walter White returns to Albuquerque and confronts his former business partners, Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz. He seeks them out and skillfully employs a threat to coerce them into transferring his remaining drug money to his family. Walt claims to Elliott and Gretchen that he has hired paid professional assassins who are watching and will kill them if they don't comply with his instructions. This convinces them to hold the money for his family and allow him to safely transmit it without raising suspicion or involving the police. Although Walt hasn’t actually hired any real hitmen, he adeptly uses the fear of a threat to manipulate Elliott and Gretchen and ensure that his final wish, to transfer his drug money to his family, is fulfilled.
