"Between Worlds" by xXLOCOXx | Geometry Dash 2.11

xXLOCOXx has been making some of the most unique levels in 2.1 conceptually, while also keeping the quality at a very high level. As such, I was naturally very excited to try this out when he asked me to. I'd say it lived up to my already very high expectations and even more! The atmosphere of this level is incredible, much thanks to perfect synchronization to the custom song made specifically by xXLOCOXx for the level. Throughout the various parts, we not only see his awesome designs and art, but also how he's mastered masking. This can be seen from 0:30 to 2:04 where the Cube passes through what looks like rifts in space—areas where everything is in different colors—which happens at the exact times the song changes. I know I'm not nearly the best creator technically, but I can often imagine how most things I see in levels are made due to how much time I've spent in the editor. For masking, though, I have to say it's far beyond my level and it's amazing to see how well xXLOCOXx did it here. Something else worth mentioning are the transitions bringing you from part to part, seen at 0:28, which look incredible. It's like you're teleporting between worlds, and each world features great variety, making the name a perfect fit. There is really nothing that I'd like changed visually here and all I can do is be amazed. As for the gameplay, it's not the most exciting thing to play, and that's okay. It does just enough to work well with the song while letting you enjoy the visuals, which is definitely the main focus in a level like this. The difficulty will most likely be around 4 to 5 Stars. As for the rating, it can't be anything but an Epic rating. I did get a little stuttering here and there, but I'm using a worse computer at the moment so I think it should be fine to play for most people.
