The Oglio river, from the Val Camonica Valley through Sebino Bresciano, the North and the South Oglio Park, to the Po river. Today, like millions of years ago, the paintings engraved on the rocks tell of my people’s history. Imagine a boat, a journey, a land. Look at the passing of the centuries, from the pre-historic age of rock drawings to the land improvements of the year 1000, from Medieval castles full of monsters to the Renaissance painters, from Lake Iseo’s fishing nets to modern canals made of bricks and mortar. Imagine running freely among the clouds and herons: you are on the Greenway of the Oglio River, a 280 kilometre cycle path, moving between a narrator’s dream that pushes an old boat and the present day which flies by on two wheels.
