Karnataka Election 2023 Updates: With just a month left for the Karnataka assembly elections, most major political parties have released their list of candidates. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its most awaited first list of 189 candidates on Tuesday. Of the 189 candidates, 52 are new faces who have been given tickets. The list includes 32 candidates from the OBC community, 30 from SC and 16 from the ST community. The list has 31 PhD holders and 31 candidates who have post-graduate degrees. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) high command have expressed their concerns about the Karnataka BJP not being in sync with the ethos of the party.
