Annual Open Meeting “The Activities of the Netherlands Institute at Athens that took place at and around the Institute during 2024 ” by Prof. dr. Ann Brysbaert Director of Netherlands Institute at Athens Prof. of Ancient Technologies, Materials and Crafts (Leiden University, Faculty of Archaeology) and Lecture by Dr. Helle Hochscheid (University College Roosevelt, Utrecht University): “Crafting legacies: cross-craft reflections on the Athenian Akropolis”. On Wednesday November 12th, the annual NIA meeting took place at our premises with physical presence but at the same time with zoom live streaming. On this occasion, NIA director Prof. dr. Ann Brysbaert gave an overview of the activities that took place at and around the Institute during 2024, focusing of course on our activities in the field of archaeological research. Subsequently, Dr. Helle Hochscheid (Assistant Professor in archaeology and heritage, University College Roosevelt, Utrecht University) gave a lecture entitled “Crafting legacies: cross-craft reflections on the Athenian Akropolis”.
