Join us as we travel halfway around Australia during August through to November 2023. Exploring places in Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. In this video we visited Bitter Springs Bitter Springs is one of two natural thermal pools in Elsey National Park. Spring water rises from underground at a rate of 30.5million litres per day. The water is very warm all year round. This park requires visitors to the NT to have parks pass. Cutta Cutta Caves Located 30 km south of Katherine, Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park spans 1,499 hectares of rare karst limestone landscape—found in only a handful of places in northern Australia. The caves, formed millions of years ago and still slowly growing, lie around 15 metres below the surface. The caves are home to unique native wildlife, including the Brown Tree Snake (Boiga irregularis) and the rare Orange Horseshoe Bat (Rhinonicteris aurantius). While the park is open year-round, cave access may be restricted at times due to seasonal conditions. Visitors can also explore the Woodland Walk, a short trail starting near the car park that winds through open tropical woodland. Allow 10–20 minutes for a leisurely stroll. Guided cave tours operate from April to October and can be booked through Nitmiluk Tours Manbulloo Homestead Caravan Park Accommodation at Manbulloo Homestead Caravan Park, Katherine, has cabins, motel rooms, powered, unpowered caravan and tent sites. On the banks of the Katherine River and just 12 km from Katherine, the caravan park is a unique hideaway rural retreat.
