✈️🌎 Welcome Aboard, Passengers! Our Kindergarten class celebrated the end of their geography unit and Penguin Leadership Circle with a virtual trip around the world — visiting the penguins they researched along the way. Students “departed” from BWI with their own passports and boarding passes before traveling to New Zealand, Antarctica, the Galápagos Islands, Africa, and Australia — completing hands-on challenges at every stop. From building penguin habitats and engineering ramps, to learning Spanish vocabulary and playing Penguins vs. Orcas, this immersive experience brought geography, leadership, and teamwork to life. After one final (slightly bumpy!) landing, our travelers returned to Gerstell with stamped passports, new knowledge, and unforgettable memories.
