VCO 1 was used with the built-in sequencer for the early textures which morphs into the tuned sparkles, then VCO 2 is used for the organ. By deactivating the PLAY button, the Subharmonicon can still be played directly while with PLAY engaged, it transposing the onboard sequence (new to firmware 1.1.0/1). I continue to love the Hydrasynth, it truly is a modular synth in a box that's a joy to program. Three separate patches were used for different timbres in the lead lines, called up quickly using the Favorites feature of the Browse module. Drawing velocity and pressure envelopes in Ableton allows you to take advantage of the Hydrasynth's polyphonic aftertouch, making it as expressive as playing directly on the keys. Granted, playing the keys is very rewarding, but with this many knobs, synths, and patch changes, it just wasn't feasible (for me). The Werkstatt-01s continue to be versatile powerhouses that give that rich, classic Moog sound. Not much more to say there except that I'm glad I got two before they were discontinued! Chord changes on the Lyra-8's drones are achieved by exploiting the fast/slow triggers with the HOLD knob. Proper tuning then flicking switches quickly changes which sound generators are active.
