How to make an Indian style chicken pie. This pie is the tastiest pie we've made and the whole family loves it, even our fussiest finished the whole plate. The chicken tikka masala pie is really quick and easy to make. Ingredients: 1 tbsp vegetable oil 1 large or 2 small peppers, sliced 1 large onion, sliced 1 x 600g pack chicken thigh or breast chunks 1 x 500g jar tikka masala sauce 1 tsp coriander 1 x 320g sheet ready-rolled shortcrust pastry 1 egg Heat the oven to 200 ̊C, fan 180 ̊C, gas 6. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the chicken (we used chicken thigh as we find it is more succulent), next fry the pepper and onion for 10 minutes until tender. Mix together the chicken, tikka masala sauce, peppers, onion and coriander in a bowl. Transfer to pie dish. Lay the pastry over the top. Trim the edges, crimp the sides, then make small steam holes and brush with a beaten egg. Cook for 25-30 minutes until golden and crisp and the filling is piping hot.
