I wrote this song during a season of transition that the Lord was calling me to. It was a reminder to me of what it means to live for the Lord, and to completely lay down our own plans to obey his leadership. He doesn't call us to seek the comfort or happiness of this world, but rather to die to ourselves and seek HIS will. If the Lord told you to move right now, would you? Is he calling you to something that is outside of your comfort zone? Is he calling you to come up higher? John 12:25 ESV 25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. Shoutout Matthias and Braedon for helping make this vision come to life :)) ------------------------------------------------------- Lyrics: Should I lose my life Laying down all my desires But still love today How can I believe to die is gain If I lose control Not knowing what tomorrow holds If I'm called to serve Or if I'm called to do greater works still Obedient heart Is he speaking to you Restless mind He'll still be with you Should i find myself Following the shepherd He still leads me by Still waters, one step at a time If I have to lose my life It'll be worthwhile He's taking me higher Taking me deeper Taking me into unknown waters Should I go after, The one who is calling To live a life that's not my own but for the good shepherd For his ways are higher His thoughts are better Dead to myself Fully in Christ, living surrendered Should I love my life I'll lose it in the end Wherever he goes, there I will be, your servant will follow
