Subscribe to our channel for more TRAVELiving adventures, and let's explore the world together! In this video, we take you on an unforgettable travel adventure to Sinaia, Romania, where we explore Romania’s most stunning castle, Peleș Castle, and its charming royal town. If you’re looking for the perfect day trip from Bucharest, Brașov, or anywhere in Transylvania, Sinaia should be at the top of your Romania travel bucket list! Our journey begins with a scenic train ride to Sinaia, an experience we highly recommend for anyone visiting Romania. The Sinaia train station is breathtaking, a place truly fit for royalty, and sets the tone for this magical day trip. Upon arrival, we stumbled upon the Sinaia Monastery and found ourselves witnessing an Orthodox funeral parastas. This awe-inspiring ceremony gave us a glimpse into Romania’s rich religious and cultural traditions—most Romanians are Christian, with the majority following the Romanian Orthodox faith. Before diving into the history and beauty of Peleș Castle, we opted for a thrilling adventure into the Carpathian Mountains. Sinaia is home to the highest-altitude cable car in Romania, which climbs over 2,050 meters (more than a mile) into the stunning mountain range. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with the fresh alpine air and endless vistas of peaks and valleys. At the halfway point, we enjoyed a traditional Romanian dish, mamaliga and stew, before hiking to the summit. Here, we encountered shepherds, sheepdogs, and grazing flocks of sheep—a truly magical and authentic Romanian countryside experience. Finally, we arrived at the main event: Peleș Castle. Known as one of the most beautiful castles in Romania and Europe, Peleș Castle is a masterpiece of architecture and design. As we explored its 160 magnificent rooms, we were blown away by the intricate details—suits of armor, coats of arms, ornate fireplaces, and even leather wallpaper. Every element of the castle has a story to tell, blending influences from Romania and across Europe. But the adventure didn’t stop there! Just a short walk away is Pelișor Castle, a smaller and more modern castle that feels surprisingly livable. While less grand than Peleș Castle, Pelișor is filled with beautiful artwork and has a cozy, practical charm. The Gold Room, with its dazzling decor, and the dining room with its unique style, were among the highlights of our visit. Whether you’re a history buff, a lover of architecture, or simply a traveler seeking unforgettable experiences in Romania, visiting Sinaia and these two castles is a must. This video captures the magic of Romania’s royal history, breathtaking mountain landscapes, and unique cultural experiences.
