2017 Anime Weekend Atlanta Professional Awards - Best Drama 2018 PopCult AMV Contest - Best Action Xophi: "This is literally the first time I've given a shit about Gundam." I always thought that one of the interesting aspects of the Gundam series that I've watched is their unflinching portrayal of war despite the glory lavished on the mechas in the center of the spotlight. In particular Gundam series often linger on the cost to innocents caught in the crossfire, as well as upon the losses and psychological costs suffered by the soldiers fighting it. I'd been meaning to edit a video with those themes at its core for some time, and Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky offered not only some beautiful footage to work with but also some powerful scenes with which to tell a story. I'm very proud of how this video came out, and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it!
