MACGYVERISM: Temporarily fix a leaking radiator with an egg 🥚🤯 Will it work? AS SEEN IN: Season 2 Episode 19 (of the Classic Series) In this episode, "Bushmaster", MacGyver is on a rescue mission in Central America... His vehicle breaks down, developing a major radiator leak - jeopardizing the mission. His solution? Eggs: MacGyver patches up the radiator by using none other than egg whites. DETAILS/SAFETY: This is a last-resort temporary fix. Use only egg whites and no more than a spoonful of pepper. Works best for coolant leaks from the radiator matrix. Wait until engine is at normal operating temperature (with cap already off) before pouring in the egg mixture. Let engine run for 10-15 min to cook eggs / activate seal. Never open a radiator cap with the engine warm or hot unless you like scalding explosions. ORIGIN: Apparently, this is an old army repair trick - go figure!
