Snowshoeing to Dewey Point in Yosemite

This was definitely not the best winter in the Sierra. Snow was scarce and we were waiting all winter for a good opportunity to go up to Yosemite for a snowshoeing adventure. There was pretty much no snow for most of the winter and conditions weren't good, then a big storm came through towards the end of February. We waited a week or so after that storm to get up there with safe travel conditions. This trail is always so much fun and the views at Dewey Point are amazing. I've done this trail quite a few times in years passed but this year the weather was just perfect. Having all the clouds hanging around El Cap and Half Dome make the sight so surreal. And the conditions were great for photography. We hiked up via the Ridge Trail and went back along the Meadow Trail. This was a great day up in Yosemite with a couple buddies and i'm looking forward to many more hikes up there this year.
